The print industry sometimes get a bad press. Paper is bad, emails are good. The truth is somewhat far from that. Both ensure papers are sourced ethically, ecologically and forests are not only managed but sustained. The power of print actually has increased the number of trees rather than reduced its numbers. New trees also create more oxygen and suck up more C02 then older trees.
What is also overlooked in most comparisons in ecology is that computers use vast amounts of electricity when they are used, and further on manufacture create a significant carbon footprint especially in their consumption of precious and rare elements such as gold, copper, aluminum & lithium.
